MAGNAR Presents at the Seebald Security Symposium

MAGNAR recently had the pleasure of attending the Seebald & Associates Security Symposium in Tampa, FL.  Seebald is one of our most trusted business partners, and we were grateful for the chance to meet with over 50 individuals from companies and organizations across the country, all of whom were focused on strengthening their security programs. We had the honor of presenting on access control technologies and the benefits of the TWIC program.

The Symposium also included a Facility Security Officer course, where the official topics and “sea stories” included training, emergency response, cybersecurity, and our personal favorite, access control and TWIC.  The chance to hear from hard working FSOs about their day to day security challenges was tremendously valuable.

All of MAGNAR’s personnel are qualified FSOs, and the Security Symposium was an opportunity for us to speak with existing and new clients in person.  Understanding their priorities is what enables us to design the best possible software and readers with the features that have the greatest impact on their operations. We had the opportunity to debut our newest biometric hardware, the FortifID Flex as well as some new modules to the 360Portal.

The symposium included outstanding guest speakers from the U.S. Coast Guard and the private sector. Hearing about new policies, emerging threats, and innovative approaches helps MAGNAR with our mission of providing the best products and services to help FSOs manage their security responsibilities while keeping business moving.  We look forward to this Symposium every two years, and encourage anyone in the maritime and chemical facility security fields to attend.
